Tthe Henry County Public Library is pleased to welcome Dr. Thomas Mackey, Professor of History at the University of Louisville and adjunct professor at the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law. Dr. Mackey holds a PhD in United States Legal and Constitutional History from Rice University. Dr. Mackey’s discussion is entitled, “That All Mankind Should be Free : Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass, and African –Americans.” It will cover the years and events leading up to the United States Civil War.


The Kentucky Office of Employment and Training has created the Henry County Job Club. The club is a place for those seeking employment to network, learn about building a stronger resume, practice interview technique, and more. The next meeting of the Henry County Job Club is Thursday, August 5th at 10:30 am.
