Henry County Public Library

The library, through a generous grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, is now the proud provider of eBooks.  These eBooks, currently available only by checking out an eBook Reader from the library, help cut down on wait time for popular and otherwise unavailable titles.  If the library owns a title in eBook format, it is available immediately.  If we do not own a title but it is available through our suppliers, we can download that title and have it ready in minutes.

In order to be able to check out an eBook Reader, a patron must:

1. Have a fully confirmed library card with no outstanding fines
2. Have a valid drivers license
3. Be 18 years of age or older
4. Fill out an eBook Reader Checkout Form

The eBook Readers have a check-out period of two weeks but do not qualify for renewal.  Also, due to the substantial cost of the devices, a five dollar per day late fee will be charged for every day the eBook Reader is overdue, and the loss of any reader will result in a $300 fine.  In addition, when returning the device it must be returned to the circulation desk during regular operating hours - it must not be returned via the book drop or video drop.  Any damages done to the eBook Reader while checked out to a Patron are the financial liabilities of the borrower.
